This sucks!
This sucks!
Downloaded this app three times. Each time a different problem - alarms dont come on, alarm times change overnight, etc. Finally each time - the display simply went crazy with overlapping graphics making it impossible to use. Maybe they just want you to buy the app for $10. I dont feel like wasting my money based on the poor performance of the free app.
Good concept and has some potential. However, the app occasionally crashes when you need it most. That is, sometimes when the alarm is supposed to turn on, the app crashes and simply exits. Therefore, I dont use the app for an alarm clock. This defeats the purpose of this app. Also, the description of the free version of the app says that the weather reporting is "more accurate" and "updates more frequently" with the paid version (actually a subscription you need to pay). In reality, the weather doesnt work at all unless you pay up. Additionally, you can only store one station. To store more you also have to subscribe. No mention of that in the description. Thats false advertising.
Wake to radio not working. Snooze not working. Screen rotation is great though. Regret updating from 4.3 to 4.4. Hope fix is coming.
This app uses too much power, it drained 40 percent of my battery in six hours and then the radio didnt come on as it should have. It defaulted to the built in apple chime.
I only see 6 options when I go to wake up to music option. The radio I want to listen to is available on the main screen but cannot be chosen to wake up to. Please fix it. Great app otherwise! :D
This app wont turn on the radio when the screen is locked. It just gives a notification.
Terrible interface, and has no alarm clock function.
This program is very simple in use! I think if you see my review, download it. I recommend.
The app works as promised, upgraded to the fully functioning app, now weather is very accurate, alarm is reliable has all my stations, really can’t ask for more than that!
Worst thing a clock radio can do is not wake you up at the expected time. This app is so poorly designed that you cant go to sleep expecting that it will do its job. You cant comfortably check to see what the settings are for the next morning. The controls are not intuitive, so if you missed the instructions when first acquiring the app, youll never see them again. If you accidentally hit the button to set an alarm time, you cant get back without shutting down the app and starting over. I set a back-up alarm first day. Lucky for me. Though the volume slider, when finally located and activated, was up more than half-way, the wake-up volume was inaudible (iPhone volume was up). I put in my local NPR station for wake-up and after manually raising the volume to a hearable level, found myself listening to a hip-hop station. Sorry, m going back to Time Tuner.
I see where the few who have reviewed are happy, I am not quite as excited yet. First the Auto Dim feature which is not discussed on their web site has a mind of its own. It seems to dim whenever it feels like it with no control settings for it or help to understand when it is suppose to dim. It is not determined by the iPad and the amount of light in the room as far as I can tell. The Auto Sleep feature does not seem to work. I have tried several different settings and it just does not work. The setting for the Auto sleep are a little confusing. I had to resort to the web to understand the two numbers. I guess this is their sleep timer which most clocks do not care when you go to bed, you just turn on or off the sleep timer for however long you want. I will start one of the radio stations and it will never shut down with Auto Sleep function turned on. Some of the radio stations selected did not play but this could be a function of Shoutcast. I am used to most good alarm clocks having a fade in or fade out of music or the preset alarm, so maybe this could added on the next upgrade. I am sad also to the paid weather when even most free alarm apps provide this for free. This app has great potential and I am excited to use it but there needs to be some bugs fixed first. Update 10/31/14 I am running the latest iOS 8.1 on my iPad with retina display about 3 years old. I have deleted then reinstalled the FREE app. Here are my findings 1. The Auto dim has a mind of its own and only seems to work when ever it feels like it with or without the Auto sleep ON or OFF. 2. The Auto Sleep for the radio has never worked. Once the radio is turned on the radio will play until the iPad battery goes dead. 3. The Auto Sleep setup is vague and apparently has a 4 hour window of what you set. The setup for the two time settings is archaic compared to the nice way you set time in the alarm mode. For just a sleep mode it seems to take a simple idea and make it more complicated than it needs to be. 4. When the auto dim does decide to dim the only way I can recover is to open settings and reset my brightness level. The one time the auto dim did work and I did have the alarm set...the brightness level did return when the alarm came on. When the auto dim would out of nowhere dim my display I could not do like a swipe on the side of the display to brighten, was so dim you could not see the clock. 5. Music fade in on alarm mode does work. 6. Setup of music buttons was fairly straight forward and did work. 7. I did have the radio just quit for no reason a couple of times and this is with the auto sleep in the off mode. 8. Weather requires a yearly subscription, not just a one time in app purchase. Maybe the in app purchase would allow some of the other features work. 9. Looks like several different versions of the Beautiful Clock in the app store at a cost. Each has its own version, so maybe they do work flawlessly as it looks like the reviews are very positive. 10. App developer would never accept that maybe this free version has some issues. The auto dim I was told was a new feature in the free version, do not know if it is part of the other clock versions. 11. My initial rating was a two but because the developer would not even remotely believe that maybe there could be some bugs in this free version and the fact that I even completely deleted then reinstalled the app to eliminate and bad install and still had the same issues only means a bad app or the app would not work on my iPad. Therefore I have dropped my rating to a one, but that is only for this FREE version. The other versions may be bug free, but I will not put out $4 to find out. 12. After several emails with the developer I have decided to delete the app and look for something else. This app on the paid side may be really good and this app did offer features I was looking for, but when a developer refuses to believe that their product could indeed have issues bothers me. There is always room for improvement and if we the customers find something that does not work, then the developer should look into the issues instead of trying to push the issue back on the customer as an idiot who can not operate a simple clock radio. 13. I also tried installing and operating this app on my wifes iPad and discovered that the app had the same issues, and as a bonus would crash often during setup.
Works as advertised! Excellent features, cannot live without it.
Great App! This is the best app ever!
Very good app, highly recommend!
I like the layout and the ability to wake to my favorite stations. Thanks for the great support 5 stars all the way!
Set an alarm and instead of going off, the app crashed back to Springboard. Useless.
Beauty full interface but why does it warn me that the cloud is not enabled when I tap whether? I assume this is because if I pay for the subscription it would like to apply to other devices via the cloud however the cloud IS enabled on my device, so Im confused
Two thump up :)
I live overseas and I was trying to look for something in mandarin, but unfortunately the only way to get the radio is to set the url. Im giving it a five star bc I hate radio clock too.
